HISTORY OF POLITICAL THOUGHT
Knowledge of the political-philosophical problems that was acquired in a gymnasium.
Oral exam. The examination wil last 15-25 minutes. Teacher will ask two questions: for the first question the student will have to organize a complex conversation; for the the second one, it is required a specific and precise answers.
The course concentrates on some aspects of the European and American debate which are related to the characteristics and the basis of political power.
Students will thus acquire knowledge on philosophical basis of western political systems and how they work.
The course focuses on history of political thinking; its problems and possibilities.
The firts lessons will be about history of political thinking in modern age.
The developement of contemporary democratic theories are then discussed.
Eventually some philosophical and political problems of recent time will be examined.

Lectures The teacher will provide a brief introduction on every topic and then there will be discussions.
