The learning assessment is done through an oral exam, access to the oral exam will be allowed to students who acquire a sufficient score in the written test that precedes the oral exam on the same date of the exam. The overall evaluation of the integrated course will take into account the participation/interaction that occurred in the activities proposed by the teachers during the course. The final grade will be the result of a weighted average of the final evaluations of the two courses expressed in thirtieths.
At the end of the integrated course, the student will be able to:
1. Integrate the contents provided in these two courses with what was learned in the courses of Nursing Methodology II, General Nursing I and General Nursing II.
2. Deepen the knowledge of topics and problems of professional and clinical interest using the main databases, selecting the most authoritative and valid sources in order to extract contents that inform nursing and healthcare assistance.
3. Use the skills learned to pursue the best possible quality of care, given the resources available.
4. Formulate research questions to answer clinical-care questions
5. Critically read research articles with a qualitative, quantitative and mixed approach, evaluating their applicability for the improvement of clinical-care practice.
6. Critically read articles of secondary literature, evaluating their implementation in clinical-care practice.

3. Nursing research in professional laws and research training levels.
4. The continuum of qualitative and quantitative research: types of research mainly used in nursing.
5. The phases of the research process.
6. Types of Knowledge Synthesis: clarification on terminology and, in particular, Literature Review, Scoping Review and Systematic Review.
7. Outline of the Evidence Based Practice methodology.
8. Critical appraisal of research articles.
9. Research results dissemination: posters, oral presentations and suggestions for writing a scientific article.

Lectures and guided discussions of scientific articles. The educational objectives and expected learning outcomes will be easily achieved with active participation in the proposed activities (individual and in groups), in the critical use of the textbook adopted, in consulting the suggested in depth bibliography and reading the articles reported.
It will always be possible to request individual interviews, view exam papers and do targeted tutoring by agreeing the method with the teacher.
