For double degree students: the assessment consists of two tests: (i) a three-hour written test (dissertation, case study, or comment on a court decision) to be completed entirely in French; (ii) a second oral test, also in French, during which questions will be asked on topics covered during the course. The final assessment will be the average of the two tests (both expressed in thirtieths).
For students who are not participating in the double degree program, the exam consists of an oral test to be taken in French, based on the textbook studied. In any case, it is possible to request to take the same exam as double degree students.

Assessment:
Voto Finale

The course aims to provide students of the Italian-French double degree program with a basic knowledge of the legal exercises usually practiced at law schools in France (judgment sheets, practical case resolutions, decision comments, dissertations), as well as to acquire a basic knowledge of French legal vocabulary and the French legal system.
For students who are not participating in the dual degree program, the course aims to provide a basic knowledge of French legal vocabulary and the French legal system.

The course mainly concerns the study methodology followed for teaching law at law schools in France. The course therefore focuses on teaching a method of analysis that will enable students to carry out exercises such as case summaries, practical case resolutions, comments on court decisions, and dissertations.
For students who are not participating in the dual degree program, the program is an introduction to contemporary French law and includes, inter alia, the study of sources of law and evidence.

Convenzionale

Teaching is offered through lectures led by the lecturer with the use of supporting materials (decisions, documentation, etc.). Practical exercises are also conducted with students, who are punctually asked to carry out assignments (with oral presentation of the same during the lectures) and actively participate in discussions and exercises conducted during the lectures.
The material made available to students must be studied by them, both for the proper preparation of the lectures and for the final examination.
For students who do not participate to the double degree program, the study of an appropriate manual is necessary, see Leganto for further details.
