SURGICAL SEMEIOTICS
Anamnesis (family history, physiological personal, remote pathological, proximate pathological)
General objective examination: somatic conformation, nutritional status, decubitus, facies, skin
Non-invasive instrumental semeiotics (ultrasound, ECG, traditional radiology, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine) and invasive (endoscopy, biopsy, interventional radiology)
Pain: type (nociceptical, neuropathic, idiopathic), site (somatic, visceral, reported and mixed), postoperative pain, chronic pain
Physical examination of swelling
Physical examination of continuous solutions (wounds, sores, ulcers, fistulas and fissures), scars and burns
Semeiotics of the digestive system (nausea, dysphagia, dyspepsia, regurgitation, reflux, vomiting, digestive hemorrhages, alterations of the intestinal function)
Semeiotics of the urinary tract with alterations in diuresis and urination
Physical examination of the abdomen with identification of painful points(epigastric, cholecystic, pancreatic, appendicular, ureteral and renal) and execution of the main semeiological maneuvers
Rectal exploration
Vaginal exploration
Placement of nasogastric tube
Placement of bladder catheter
Physical examination of the neck and thyroid
Physical examination of the breast
Physical examination of the main lymph node stations (cervical, axillary, inguinocrural, popliteal, epitrochlear)
Peripheral vascular objective examination
The course will be structured with lectures with the help of slides (including different illustrations and images) interspersed with moments of direct interaction with the students. There will also be exercises in the compilation of clinical documents, such as medical records and outpatient reports
