FINAL EXAM
To access the final exam, the student must have passed all the exams required by the Educational Regulations of the Study Programme, as well as having fulfilled all the OFA (Additional Educational Obligations) required.
The degree grade is determined by the weighted average of the marks achieved in the individual exams, reported in one hundred and ten, with a possible increase by the degree commission based on the following:
- 10 points are available for the three-year degree
- the rapporteur has 5 points available; the commission has the faculty, on proposal of the rapporteur, to add 5 points for the logical quality, for the contents of the presentation and for the progress of the eventual discussion.
The supervisor is the first to express his evaluation, giving a reasoned judgment of the student's quality, with the following report:
5 points = excellent,
4 points = above average,
3 points = average,
2 points = below average,
1 point = poor
For particularly deserving degree theses, on the proposal of the supervisor, the commission can increase the assessment of the thesis by an additional 1 point (up to a maximum of 11 points overall); this is especially true if the total has been rounded down to 99; the honors obtained by the candidate are considered equal to 0.3 points for the purpose of attributing this increase as well as having completed the studies in the legal duration of the degree course. 1 point is awarded for those who graduate during the course; furthermore, 1 point will be awarded to those who have participated in the Erasmus programmes.
It is the faculty of the president of the commission to propose honors in the presence of an overall score equal to or greater than 110 points, and one or more honors obtained by the candidate.
The exposure must be at least 10 minutes for each candidate plus possible discussion.
3 credits are attributed to the final exam.
During the discussion, the student must demonstrate the knowledge acquired and the ability to structure and present in an organic way the techniques and methodologies used and the experimental results relating to the internship carried out.
He must also be able to express himself with independent judgment on the main environmental issues based on his own ability to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate the available environmental data. In particular, they must be able to judge critical issues, resources and natural and anthropic impacts relating to the variety of different environmental issues covered in the degree course.
The final exam consists in the discussion of the thesis, in front of the Graduation Commission, normally composed of no less than five members and made up mostly of professors and researchers teaching courses in the courses pertaining to the departments referring to and associated with the Department.
The thesis is delivered by the student in the manner prescribed by the University and accessible from the page
