Requirements: 

It is necessary to have passed exams in private law, constitutional law and international law.

The methods of verifying learning consist of an oral exam, with the attribution of a final mark out of thirty, covering the entire programme.

The course aims to delve deeper into environmental protection in international and European Union law.

At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- know and understand the main institutions of international and European environmental law, including the actors, sources, principles and responsibility in environmental matters;
- know and apply the European, international and internal rules that govern the macro-issues of international private and procedural law in transnational disputes between private individuals in environmental matters;
- know and understand sectoral environmental protection;
- independently develop a critical judgment on the jurisprudential and practical cases examined.

In the introductory lesson, the notion and the actors (States, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, individuals and multinational companies) of international and European environmental law will be discussed.

Convenzionale

The course takes place in the second semester through 50 hours of lessons in total, adequate for the 8 credits required for the subject. The teaching includes frontal lessons with the use of power-point presentations and the critical analysis and discussion of jurisprudential and practical cases with the active participation of the students.

Teachers will receive students by appointment at the end of the lesson or via the Microsoft Teams platform.
