Transmit to the students theoretical knowledge and operative procedures according to most recent international recommendations in order to reduce the radiological risk for workers and patients

RADIOPROTEZIONE
Sources of ionizing radiations used in medicine. Biological effects of radiations. Physical quantities related to damage caused by ionizing radiations. Radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging. Main modalities of diagnostic imaging with ionizing and non ionizing radiations. Instrumentation for measuring radiation. Problems of radioprotection in diagnostic and therapeutic use of ionizing and non ionizing radiation. Radioprotection practice in medicine. Total 10 hours
