The Progress Test is an initiative promoted, at national level, by the Permanent Conference of the Presidents of the Courses in Medicine and Surgery with the aim of statistically monitoring over the years the knowledge acquired and maintained over time by students, in order to continuously improve the training path. For the student, the Progress test is a form of self-assessment useful for identifying any weakness in the preparation. The Test can be performed at each year of the Course starting from the second year, whereas it is not foreseen for students of the first year.
The Progress Test consists of 300 multiple choice questions divided into two groups of 150 questions each, one for the biological area and the other for the clinic area. In detail, the composition of the two questionnaires is as follows: Biological area: • Histology and anatomy (20 questions) • Physiology (25 questions), • Biochemistry and genetics (25 questions) • Microbiology and immunology (25 questions)
