The final assessment is based on the evaluation of the student’s participation in class discussions and assignments (both individual and group). Student’s evaluation will be based on the quality and quantity of class participation in business cases and article discussions as well as on a written assignment where he/she will be required to analyze (individually and/or as part of a group) an assigned business case.
Tailor-made work assignments will be assigned by the teacher to students who are not able to attend the class.
This course will focus on current issues central to the management of organizational and entrepreneurial innovation. Specific topics will be addressed based on the background of the visiting professor.
Course objectives involve students achieving some advanced learning outcomes, i.e.:
- A thorough knowledge of what innovation is and why it is critical to an organization’s success.
- Understanding operations management and the steps in new product development.
- An understanding of sustainability issues related to operations and customer experience as well.
At the end of the course students have to prove they have learned the core theories presented and the appropriate terminology used in the field of study of innovation and operations management by adopting a sustainability perspective. Students have to prove that they can manage the concepts and the tools presented in class.
This course will provide background on innovation and sustainability with special focus on practices necessary to stimulate and manage innovation in a business.

Readings will be communicated through the e-learning platform.
