CHIRURGIA D'URGENZA
The final exam is written (tests with multiple answers, based on questions related to the program of the emergency surgery course. The exam will focus on the program of the of course, aiming to evaluate: knowledge and understanding, ability to apply knowledge, judgement, communicative skills and learning ability, in relation to the theoretical and practical bases of surgical pathology of trauma (natural history of disease, diagnostic methods and prognostic/therapeutic guidelines of diseases of surgical interest).
To achieve the skills necessary to: make diagnosis and formulate differential diagnosis; formulate therapeutic approach in emergency surgery; to perform preoperative evaluation and preoperative preparation; to perform pre and postoperative treatment in emergency surgery.
Principles of assistance and diagnosis of the polytraumatized patient. Contusive thoracic trauma and penetrating chest trauma: hemothorax; pneumothorax; rib fractures and sternal fracture. Abdominal trauma: conservative therapy of closed abdominal trauma. Hepatic, splenic and renal trauma. Surgical techniques of repair for abdominal internal organs traumatic lesions. Vascular traumatic lesions: classification. Vascular lesions of the limbs. Vascular urgences: rupture of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysm; rupture of aneurysms of visceral arteries. Acute abdomen. Peritonitis. Haemorrhagic syndrome. Abdominal occlusion. Urgency surgery in gastrointestinal diseases: indications, timing and surgical treatment for acute pancreatitis, biliary diseases, peptic ulcer disease, digestive hemorrhage.
