METODOLOGIA INFERMIERISTICA
The necessary knowledge is that provided in the course of General Nursing 1 which is preparatory to the present course. In particular, the student must know: the basic concepts of nursing science, the phases of the nursing care process as identified by the Human Processes Care Model, the tools for the nursing assessment and the advantages offered by the use of a scientific language to document the nursing care and in particular to learn about ICNP®.
The evaluation includes a written test and, later, an oral test. Students will be admitted to the oral exam only if they pass the written test with a minimum score of 18/30. The written test includes a first part, with semi-open questions, to which 10 points are attributed (sufficiency 6/10), and a second part with multiple choice test, to which 20 points are attributed (sufficiency 11/20). Sufficiency must be reached in both tests to enter the oral exam. The final score is based on the score obtained in the written test which can be increased based on the oral performance.
Carry out a first general assessment of the person's state of health using the means and tools available (observation, interview, medical history, physical examination, indexes and scales).
Place the initial nursing assessment within the nursing care process, starting from the identification of the status of the human processes involved to develop a nursing care plan
Begin to learn the clinical reasoning process to identify nursing diagnoses expressed with the International Classification of Nursing Practice (ICNP®).
Identify the appropriate nursing outcomes and interventions based on the characteristics of the person, what was learned in this first year of the course and using ICNP®.
Nursing assessment within the nursing care process.
The difference between subjective and objective data and the use of rating scales.
The tools for the assessment: observation aimed at nursing care, a structured and semi-structured interview and some communication techniques, and physical examination. Evaluation of data, signs and symptoms that concur to identify a state of normality, risk of alteration or alteration of human processes that contribute to the normal satisfaction of needs of special interest for nurses: need of special interest of breathing, blood circulation, feeding and hydrating, urinary elimination, bowel elimination, hygiene, movement, sleep and rest, relationship.
Formulation of some nursing diagnoses related to nursing sensitive outcomes.
Examples of MAPU-oriented care planning with the use of ICNP®.
