The student must obtain a minimum score of 18/30
The student will have to take a written test that will be based on open questions and on multiple choice test.
The questions of the oral examination will be related to the program of the teachings of C.I. to define the
knowledge and understanding (25%), the ability to apply knowledge and understanding
(25%), independent judgment (15%), communication skills (15%) and learning ability
(20%) in relation to the theoretical and practical bases to provide the student with cognitive tools
necessary to understand the means and methods of intervention of the different clinical pictures of the patients
adults or children; relational skills adapted to the areas of intervention and in the field
of the working environment; improvement in the state of health of the oral cavity.

Anatomy of the periodontal tissues. Oral biofilm and microbiology of the oral cavity. Etiology, pathogenesis and epidemiology of the periodontal diseases. The new classification for periodontal and Peri-implant diseases and conditions 2017 World Workshop AAP and EFP. Diagnosis of the periodontal disease, periodontal probing, the periodontal chart and the radiographic examination. The therapy of the periodontal disease: the causal therapy, the surgical therapy and the supportive periodontal therapy. The systemic diseases and their relationship with the periodontal disease: periomedicine. Basic notions of implantology, osteointegration and the perimplant mucosa. Perimplant mucositis and perimplantitis: diagnosis, therapy and supportive phase.The course has the purpose to focalize on anatomy, diagnostics and therapy in Periodontology and in Implantology, in order to give the dental hygienist a scientific approach to these topics.
