The final exam will consist of a written test and an interview with the teacher for the assessment of language skills acquired. The evaluation of the exam is given by numerical rating (out of thirty).

The course is held for the students who study for the first time the Japanese language and aims to provide basic skills to resolve the common relational situations.
At the end of the course the students will be able to formulate some basic Japanese language structures - exchange the personal information, speak about the daily life, do shopping etc. (see Program). The students are also expected to read the short and simple text.

The course will be held in the first semester.
After an introduction to the general characteristic of the Japanese language, the lessons will be mainly aimed at developing oral expression based on learning the elements of grammar. Not be neglected the fundamentals of written language through the teaching of reading the Japanese alphabets (hiragana, katakana) and some kanji, as well as cultural elements.
The course follows JF Standard for Japanese-Language Education.

The materials prepared by the teacher will be uploaded on the e-learning platform in advance so that the students can download them before the lesson.
Also the other auxiliary materials used during the lesson will be uploaded on the platform.

The lesson at the class with the teacher includes also practice exercises.
There will be some pair or group work in the class, so that the students are requested to participate actively.

There will be a screening of a Japanese film (or some cultural activity) during the course.
