Graduates in Interlinguistic and Intercultural Mediation Sciences must demonstrate that they have developed independent judgment skills on the issues of their field of study, with the consequent possibility of good integration into the world of work and professions. In particular, they must demonstrate:
- ability to describe and interpret, on the basis of the four linguistic skills, journalistic, literary and specialist texts;
- ability to identify and analytically reformulate problems and propose independent and innovative solutions;
- ability to deal with different areas of work and issues, as well as to find and evaluate linguistic-cultural, historical, legal and economic data and sources of information.
Independent judgment will be developed through active participation in teaching activities (especially exercises) that involve contributions from students (such as interventions to motivate translation and/or interpretation choices or to judge the adequacy, ability to summarize, clarity of interpretation tests).
Independent judgment will also be assessed not only in the final exams of each individual course, but also in the possible completion of the work placement and in the drafting of the final paper, for which, where possible, application/experimental work will be given preference over more traditional compilation work.
Graduates of the course will be able to constructively relate to their Italian and foreign interlocutors, taking into account the diversity of cultural and linguistic contexts, modulating their intervention and adapting it to specific needs. They must also be able to argue and communicate, even in the foreign languages being studied, ideas, problems and solutions, both to a specialist and non-specialist audience.
In particular, they must demonstrate:
- ability to communicate, orally and in writing, on the basis of textual typologies (journalistic, literary, specialist texts), information, ideas, problems and/or difficulties to specialist and non-specialist interlocutors;
- ability to interact as interlinguistic and intercultural mediators in the languages being studied;
- ability to interact with other people and to conduct collaborative activities.
The verification of the acquisition of basic and advanced oral and written communication skills and abilities occurs mainly through exercises and practical-applicative exam tests, which are carried out both individually and in groups, in oral and/or written form, both as a test administered to groups of students and as an individually produced paper.

- aver acquisito un metodo di studio, capacità di lavorare per obiettivi, e capacità di lavoro autonomo e di gruppo;
- nell'ambito dei singoli corsi, sia attraverso attività a carattere seminariale in cui gli studenti sono invitati a discutere e approfondire autonomamente e criticamente argomenti già oggetto delle lezioni tradizionali (ad es., procurandosi materiale di approfondimento, analizzando fonti e valutandone il valore), sia, laddove possibile, attraverso presentazioni di casi di studio a cura degli studenti stessi, in modalità "flipped classroom";
